North Brooklyn Compost Project
Overview
The North Brooklyn Compost Project is a volunteer-run compost pile in McCarren Park, Brooklyn. It was founded in 2004, and today helps out nearly 400 members reduce waste and produce soil. Its compost fuels backyards, container gardens, street trees, park land, and food gardens.
