Overview

No votes yet

Capitol Lake is the wintering spot for Canada geese from late October through early March. The open water attracts waterfowl on the migratory flyway. Sharp eyed birders will note many other species of ducks mixed in with the geese. Almost anywhere you look in the sky on a late afternoon in winter, you will see a wavering V and hear the characteristic honking.
