The Farmers Market at Maryland
Overview
The Farmers Market at Maryland provides an opportunity to purchase local food and drinks - including meat, dairy, fruit, veggies, honey, and wine - directly from local farms. The farmers market is open on Wednesdays from 11am-3pm from the end of March to the middle of November (check website for exact dates). Local food is harvested at its nutritional peak and available at the market soon after. It doesn’t travel long distances, so buying from local farms also can reduce the environmental impact of bringing food to your table (the average food item travels about 1,500 miles to reach us) while providing support for the local economy.
