Overview
The Edgar Allan Poe Museum is located in The Old Stone House, which is the oldest residential dwelling in Richmond. The museum boasts the world's finest collection of Edgar Allan Poe's manuscripts, letters, first editions, memorabilia and personal belongings. The Poe Museum features the life and career of Edgar Allan Poe by documenting his accomplishments with pictures, relics, and verse, and focusing on his many years in Richmond. The museum also contains the Enchanted Garden which was constructed from bricks and granite that was salvage from the building in which Poe worked, the Southern Liberty Messenger.
