Bay Preserve








Overview
Bay Preserve at Osprey is a 4.3 acre nature preserve on Little Sarasota Bay protected by Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast. The Preserve is available for weddings, private parties and special events. For information, contact Gilly Francis at 941.468.0611.
Bay Preserve is an incredible community park, owned and operated by a private non-profit, Conservation Foundation. Here, we provide environmental experiences, from the Fall Family Festival and monthly events, to bocce ball, a children’s nature-playground, and the great lawn for picnicking and play. It is a small oasis nestled next to Historic Spanish Point that provides access Little Sarasota Bay for kayaking, rowing, fishing and enjoying the views.
Open dawn to dusk, 7 days a week, free of charge. Public restrooms are available. The house is available for tours Monday-Friday 9am – 4pm, based on staff availability. This is a “leave-no-trace” park – please take out everything you bring in. Note: the property and Burrows-Matson House are occasionally closed for special events.
