Home Front Homes LLC is a builder that uses an innovative panelized construction system to create energy-efficient homes. The company built the prototype "Katrina Cottage," which was designed by architects at the urban design and planning firm of Congress for New urbanism member Andres Duaney and as an alternative to FEMA trailers for victims of hurricanes and other natural disasters. The company's founder has developed a quick and easy way to build the shell of a residential or commercial building in only days, using three main components: the windframe, the wall panels and the roof panels.

Home Front Homes became a Sarasota County Green Business Partner in 2008. The Green Business Partnership (GBP) encourages environmental stewardship in the commercial sector, and recognizes businesses that make an extra effort to operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This collaborative effort includes businesses, business organizations and local governments. The GBP was initiated through a grant awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to Sarasota County.
