Wonderful Worm Farm
Overview
The Wonderful Worm Farm is an enterprise in progress that needs some volunteer labor. It was started in Fall, 2010 to recycle leaves in the neighborhood to be used as food for worms. The worms will create a wonderful source of nitrogen rich compost that can be used for local gardens. The compost probably won't be ready until 2012 but after that it is hoped to be a local source of great compost. Presently worm casting are sold in bags at a few stores that come from out the state. How sustainable is that? Volunteer help is needed to build several bins, etc. Contact Gerd Ebeling if your interested in helping out and if you want to work on marketing the compost.
