Verkių regioninis parkas - įkurtas 1992 m. yra vienas iš mažiausių Lietuvoje, užimantis vos 2693 ha plotą. Miesto pašonėje esanti unikali gamtinė teritorija su savitu kultūros paveldu mėgiama ir gausiai lankoma miestiečių bei sostinės svečių. Nors plečiantis miestui urbanizacija vis labiau skverbiasi į parko teritoriją, tačiau šis kampelis dar išlaikęs savitą unikalumą.
