Kenyon's cemetery, having existed since at least 1827 (the time of the earliest recorded burial), is one of many historical sites on campus. The cemetery serves as a burial site for alumni, residents of Gambier, and professors, including John Crowe Ransom, poet and founder of the Kenyon Review.
