معروف عند أهالي ضيعة عين الزبدة أن عيون الشفة الموجودة في البلدة والتي لا يقل عددها عن العشرة، تتدفق بغزارة عند موسمها جالبة معها مياه ناعمة بنعومة الزبدة سميت البلدة من خلالها عين زبدة.
Around ten springs found in the village are known to softly flow in winter, villagers gave it a term "soft as butter" which was how the name of their village came to be; Butter Spring.
