The World Bird Sanctuary's Mission is to"...preserve the earth′s biological diversity and to secure the future of threatened bird species in their natural environments. We work to fulfill this mission through education, propagation, field studies and rehabilitation." The sanctuary include birds such as Bald Eagles, Owls, Hawks, and Falcons, as well as other small reptiles and mammals.

There are over 400 species of birds in missouri. However, while walking through St. Vincent's, I have only observed a handful of different species. I am interested in studying the types of birds in the area and researching ways that we can change the park to make it a better habitat for other species. I have not been to the World Bird Sanctuary, but I believe it would offer some information that I am looking for.
