Tompkins Square Public Library

Visão geral
Constructed in 1887 by Andrew Carnegie, the building was transformed into a library in 1904. Historically this public entity served a variety of ethnicities and a thriving arts community. An art gallery in basement often features shows by local artist, and remains a public fixture in the East Village today.
