These slopes are surrounded by urban development and are predominately composed of dry heath/ acid grassland mosaic with smaller
areas dominated by scrub and amenity grassland. The site is important for a number of species of flora and fauna including the protected small blue butterfly and early marsh orchid. It is designated a SINC.

The Slopes also offer great views across the city and Swansea Bay.
