학명 : Falco peregrinus japonensis J. F. Gmelin, 1788
상세설명
해안 및 연안 도서의 절벽에서 번식하는 텃새이다. 몸길이 34-50cm, 체중 약 550-1,500g, 양쪽 날개를 편 길이 80-120cm이다. 몸 윗면은 청회색이고 뺨에 검은색 무늬가 특징이다. 몸 아랫면은 흰색 바탕에 검은색의 가로 줄무늬가 있다. 세계적으로 시베리아 동북부, 캄차카, 중국, 일본 등지에 분포한다. 천연기념물 323호로 지정되어 있으며 멸종위기종1급이로 지정되어 보호하고 있다.
