Overview
A careful choice of materials and delicacy of carving marks this impressive Romanesque church which has become an important neighborhood landmark. The architecture and interiors of this church and its addition are outstanding. Triple windows in chapel (southwest portion of front facade) are marked "Tiffany Studios."
Harry Emerson Fasdick, an important Baptist preacher of the time, was minister of this church from 1904-1915. he became minister of Riverside Church in New York.
The Building is listed on the State Register of Historic Places.
