South Wood County Park

South Wood County Park is located on 332 acres surrounding Lake Wazeecha, which is Native American for "lake of the land of the pines." The lake is 148 acres and is used by waterskiers, kayakers and fishermen throughout the season. Camping is a popular attraction at South Wood County Park from May 1 to October 31. There are 73 campsites, with 61 being electric. There is a hardened 4.3 mile walk path that goes throughout the park and surrounds Lake Wazeecha. The park also includes 2 beaches, several playground areas, shelter buildings and a 12 hole disc golf course.
