Acerca del Mapa Verde Abierto
This project has been initiated to support the Island's residential community in the post-industrial transition to a thriving and resilient, self-reliant community of families, living deeply connected as a beneficial human presence in Quandamooka Land and Sea Country. Also, a guide and map for visitors to connect with eco-cultural places and people on the Island as well as an educational tool for caring and respecting the Island while they are here. The entire residential community is invited to contribute their nominations of places, the stories that go with them as well as list their local businesses on this map. Taking stock of what we have and cherish also helps us see the gaps in what we can work on as a community to thrive socially, economically and take care of our unique and precious Island environment.
