Friends of Cathays Cemetery

Overview

Our declared objectives are as follows:

· To contribute, in whatever way possible, including the raising of funds, to the protection of the infrastructure, memorials and buildings in the Cemetery and in their development as a valuable amenity.

· To promote and raise public awareness of the Cemetery, with special regard being given to its history and heritage, its importance as a conservation area, and its potential as an educational resource.

· To promote the Cemetery as a haven for reflection and remembrance and respect for the deceased.

· To work in partnership with the City of Cardiff Council and to involve residents, local groups and Conservation Organisations in the management of the Cemetery.

If you would like to join our group, you would be more than welcome. Membership is a nominal £5 per annum to cover our administration costs.
