Those who live in a local area know the area best. By working with the community to understand and improve economic and social infrastructure together, the City creates an enabling environment. The Du Noon Local Area Planning Initiative (LAPI) aims to empower residents of this post-Apartheid community to not just engage in their own future, but to take ownership of that future. It also hopes to inspire other City departments to embrace new thinking, cross-departmental engagement, and creative problem solving.
