Nokomis Beach is Sarasota County's oldest beach. This is a family oriented beach and is popular for fishing and picnicking. A system of walkovers provides spots dune system and its resident gopher tortoises.The recently restored Community Room at the Nokomis Beach Plaza was designed and built in the 1950s and is an example of the Sarasota School of Design. This area is a great location for meetings, events and much more.
